This is our first direct trade coffee from Rwanda and is the coffee that's our favorite for use on our espresso machine for all of our espresso based drinks.

This Rwanda coffee is produced on a washing station located right along the shores of Lake Kivu and nearby Nyungwe National Park, one of Central Africa's largest and best preserved rainforests. Its distinct combination of elevation, soil, and climate are ideal for coffee trees that produce varieties of fruity flavors that are well balanced with a long finish.

This Rwanda coffee undergoes natural processing, with cherries floated and pulped before undergoing dry fermentation for up to 14 hours, and air and sun dried on raised beds for up to 20 days.

General cup profile: fruity flavor, sweet acidity, well balanced with a medium body and long finish. Sweet tasting notes of strawberry jam, cream, and vanilla.

Roast Type: Light - Medium Roast Coffee

Best when fresh

To really get the best flavor from these whole beans, don’t freeze them. They’re so much better when you grind them fresh and that’s when you really get the full aroma and body that you want from a pour over. They come in quick so getting them shipped every few weeks works perfect for me.

Love it iced

I usually grind a batch of these whole beans to use for my cold brew in the mornings. It’s super flavorful and doesn’t have an acidic aftertaste. Great pick for iced coffee lovers.

This coffee is amazing! The whole beans are so fresh and they grind beautifully. The pour-over method really does justice to the quality of the beans

Our whole coffee beans are typically best when brewed between 11 to 21 days after roasting. While you can definitely still enjoy our coffee beans after this time frame, after 21 days you will find it begins to lose its aromatics and fragrance.

What is the best storage method for your pour over coffee?

To keep our organic pour over coffee beans at the highest level of freshness for as long as possible, we recommend storing your coffee in a cool and dry vacuum sealed container.
