Our Costa Rica Tarrazu Coffee, Washed - Leo is a high-grown lot produced on a micro mill by the Unión de Cafetalero de San Isidro, a cooperative made of a range of producers active with social projects in the area. This washed coffee is a versatile bean ideal for drip coffees, as well as for cold brews and espressos.

Although nearly all Costa Rican coffee is wet milled, the country still produces a wide variety of honey processed coffee. This labor intensive method where coffee cherries are picked and sorted, pulped, and washed without removing the sweet outer layer of the fruit, produces a subtle sweetness that makes for a distinct brew.

Grown on clay soil and sun-dried on patios to bring our its rich flavor, this Costa Rican coffee selection produces a medium roast with a heavy body and tasting notes of honey, apple, coffee cake, and cinnamon.
